- SYMPTOMS will appear as a large or small lump in the thigh. This will be
- about an inch below where the thigh joins the trunk.
- CAUSES may be from lifting, straining at stool or coughing that weakens the
- tissue and allows a loop of intestine to push out. More common in women.
- TREATMENT. Wearing a truss or surgery may be required. Danger of gangrene.
